Crane Operator
Worker has to possess a crane driving license. He has to be able to conduct operations requiring precision in rising, transport, positioning and store components (partial definition from the Italian national contract for workers)
Note: Component movements do not require specific competence in the wind sector, the operator should be able to move heavy objects of large dimensions.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of the WT components (weights, dimensions, shape etc.)
- Knowledge of the orography of the involved site.
- Knowledge of the specific crane functioning and loads.
- Knowledge of spatial planning of the construction site (dimensions, slopes, soil characteristics)
- Knowledge of safety plans
Skills
- Crane driving licence.
- Previous experience on large machines manoeuvring.
- Capacity on manoeuvring large and heavy components.
- Experience in manoeuvring in windy sites.
- Clear communication with the team leader.
- Sensibility to crane manoeuvring and placement respect to the wind.
- Ability to drive work vehicles in challenging locations i.e. snow & ice.
Competences
- Ability to manage the yard spaces assigned.
- Ability in manoeuvring heavy machines on areas with irregular orography.
- Capacity to manage possible emergency situations.
- Capacity to take all necessary measures to assure safety during work.
- Able to work under pressure for long shifts.
