Knowledge

  • Electromechanical background.
  • Knowledge of his/her specific role in the team and all equipment and tools needed.
  • Knowledge of the installation process step by step settled by the builder.
  • Knowledge of the WT components to be installed.
  • Knowledge of the foundations and loads).

Skills

  • Able to interact with crane driver and team leader. Gives both verbal and hand signals to crane operator for proper positioning of load being lifted.
  • Execute the correct positioning of the lower tower block.
  • Knowledge to perform jobs of high difficulty to assemble machine components.
  • Organizes and cleans tools as needed.
  • Ensures that all portable equipment (i.e. generators) are inspected and fueled.
  • Shovel dirt and snow as required.
  • Good knowledge regarding the use of the dynamometric wrench and of all necessary tools.
  • Able to operates bolt torque equipment including manual operated torque wrenches with torque multipliers as well as hydraulic and electric torque machines.
  • Capacity to conduct checks during work and at the end.
  • Ensures that all trash and debris is picked up around job site.
  • Operates tag lines for loads being lifted by crane. Attaches crane rigging and lifting devices to any load being raised into the air.

  • Travels to various projects as needed to perform installation activities

  • Must be able to climb multiple times on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to hear adequately in order to work safely in a construction environment

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
