• Understand that various items of Personal Sea Safety equipment have set limitations and must be fit for purpose ie the right size to support the weight of the person wearing it for the location they intend to go in the expected seasonal temperature.

• To group survivors and as a group safely make way to rescue craft or life raft.

• To initiate basic PSE checks prior to entering water.
